Physics Driven

Zigfrak embraces the physicality of the third dimension. Every ship, missile, and bullet is a simulated physical body, and most damage is derived from collisions.

Balanced for Gameplay

We do bend physical rules where it makes sense, for the sake of gameplay. There's a little bit of drag to keep the simulation from running haywire, and other niceties such as physical prediction. Turns out, computers are better than humans when it comes to hitting an accelerating target from an accelerating platform with an accelerating projectile.

Aged in Fine Plastic Barrels

Zigfrak is a labor of love, and we're proud of the craftsmanship behind it. In development since 2008, Zigfrak exited beta and released in November 2012. Since then, Zigfrak has received several major free updates, with more on the way.

Like Other Games But Different

Zigfrak draws inspiration from the classics, but it's not a traditional space sim. A genre-defying variety of mechanics are running under the same hood. Zigfrak might be like other games you've played, but it's like no other games you've played.

Shit Hot Loot

At the end of the day, we're all about the loot. Zigfrak is filled out with a plethora of randomly mutated shit hot loot, like the [Red-Hot 64 Finger Salute] (pictured).

Don't Touch My Stash

Inventory space is ample, because nobody likes the inventory management mini-game. Players face a different challenge, however: In Zigfrak, you have to protect what you've got, or risk losing it. Pirates will board your ship and loot your gear. Badly damaged gear can be permanently destroyed. It's a harsh but rewarding universe.
